Acer thing maintenance

Hi

I have an old Acer swift 3 that's in desperate need of some TLC.

Loud fans, over heating, shoddy battery.

Recently installed Linux on it and I want to try different projects like hosting an mc server ( just messing about)

I was considering replacing the Mobo w some cheap options as I don't want to buy a whole new laptop ( I have one I use for work). All the components are soldered together from what I gathered.

Is there any concerns I should consider?

I was looking at Ali Express

Ordering in NOK, Norway. Ideally around 1000 - 1500 kr as it's a side project.
