What to buy in stead of JBL Flip 7

i originally wanted to buy a jbl flip 7. but I've been thinking what could be an alternative. JBL is a trusted name for sure but i dont NEED a branded speaker but a trustworthy speaker. And there are better things out there which are not branded. So i need suggestions on other brand or off brand speakers.

Also, should i buy 2nd hand jbl?
