Learned helplessness?

Do most Asperger's people struggle to leave the 'nest'/their parents homes to live with a boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancee/friend/alone? What causes it?

Are they more likely to be rejected by a potential employer even if they meet the requirements?

What's your experience?

Do others try to bring "odd" people down, do folks 'seemingly' without Asperger's have this instinct to force a submissive stance/position in a AS individual?
