has anyone ever felt like they wont do justice to certain characters?

exactly as the title says. i currently have a draft of a soulmates coffee shop au where one of them has insomnia, and i've already written a good portion of the beginning when i suddenly feel under qualified to write for the characters im writing. i thought "maybe its just because i haven't really been in the fandom beyond fanfics and occasional vids on tiktok" so i thought of other ships/characters to write for. and every single one that i thought of i just felt like I wouldn't give them justice. even with characters in a fandom i've been in for so long.

it might seem stupid to others but i've genuinely been in a rabbit hole of overthinking writing this fic for probably half an hour now. this feeling probably stems from the fact that im used to writing xreaders and haven't really tried my hand at characterxcharacter at all. lol sorry if this post is just a bunch of unintelligible goo i jus wanted to get it off my chest 🙏
