Eldritch Invocations - everyone allows 2014 invocations as well...right?
Just that really. Conscious this is a DM decision, and I am not looking to do the 'Reddit said' argument, just sense checking what the norm is.
Are most tables who are playing 5.5e (2024 rules) still allowing invocations that from 2014 that have not been updated? I'm particularly focused on EB impacting ones such as Lance of Lethargy, Repelling Blast, Grasp of Hadar etc.
I'm aware this was the design intent, just curious. For those who like context, I'm making a Parasite Warlock (from Heliana's 2 on Beyond which I think was originally designed for 2014). Gives you a 'parasitic weapon' which uses a melee spell attack that comes with the following note:
"If you are the GM, consider allowing invocations that have the eldritch blast cantrip as a prerequisite to also benefit attacks the warlock makes with their parasitic weapon. For example, Repelling Blast would permit the parasitic weapon to push targets, while Agonizing Blast would allow the warlock to add their Charisma modifier to its damage rolls."
