THE 9TH GRADE TBs ARE ATROCIOUS 😭🥀

gng wth is ganjit manjeri and those chapter names in that book, and kaveri too 😭 there are entire pages of random history in the math textbook that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject, which reminded me of the old euclid geometry chapter -and even the pythagoras theorem has been renamed. there’s definitely more competency-based and advanced math now, which is great, but overall the whole thing just feels… eh. there's so much color and illustrations, it feels like a middle grade TB.

meanwhile in kaveri, so many iconic prose and poetry chapters from beehive and moments like "the road not taken", "the last leaf", and others that lowkey shaped generations for years have been removed. though i can’t lie, it was about time they deleted "the little girl" considering how much it justified child abuse.

never been more glad to be part of the grade 9 batch of '25–'26
