HATED my proposal pictures taken by a professional photographer

Hi! My partner and i just got engaged and it was the most wonderful and surprising moment of my life. He had a photographer hired for a mini session to capture the intimate proposal moment before all our friends and family joined to celebrate after.

We just got back the photos two weeks later. She said she carefully selected 75 best shots from the session.

I like maybe TWO of the photos. The framing is awkward and cut off, lots of backlit photos, blurry faces and weird expressions.

When we reached out to her with feedback and how this was not what we had expected and paid for, she sent a long paragraph about how for a mini session, the # of photos she had was great output. She di not address any of her skill set issues and blamed the dim lighting. But as a professional, she should be the expert and managing lighting and settings.

I’m not sure what to do. She wants us to pick 7 photos for her to do final edits on but frankly i only like two of the pictures.
