First time visit

The wife and I are planning on going the weekend of May 29th. What can we expect? Does everyone stay to themselves and away from other people? Will people come sit next to us and conversate? she's also worried she will stare too hard at people just out of curiosity (this is our first time doing anything close to this) will we be called out for looking at other people?
