Why Regular Console Cleaning Can Save You Hundreds

Most people don’t realize dust is slowly killing their console performance. Over time, consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X build up dust inside the heatsinks and fans, which traps heat and makes the system run way hotter than it should. That’s usually why people start hearing loud fan noise, getting overheating warnings, random shutdowns, lag spikes, or poor performance. I’ve opened consoles that looked fine on the outside but were completely clogged internally. A proper cleaning and fresh thermal paste can make a huge difference in temperatures, noise, and lifespan. Preventative maintenance is way cheaper than replacing a fried HDMI chip, fan, or motherboard later. If your console sounds like a jet engine, it’s probably time for a cleaning.
