UNIT: The Coup

The Coup is the opener of Big Finish's UNIT series

Starring Nicholas Courtney as he reprises the Brigadier.

This has been presented as a special episode and not as a season opener as this originally came out as freebie with DWM # 351 on December 9 2004 which incidentally was my birthday.

This was done to promote the UNIT series.

Written by Simon Guerrier.

Directed by Ian Farrington.

The premise of this story is that UNIT is finished in the UK and it is preparing to hand its responsibilities to a new organisation called ICIS* (Internal Counter-Intelligence Service).

However sabotage has been made on this handover.

This has been enthralling situation and how the Brig deals with, how it involves the Silurians and why UNIT is still needed as demonstrated when the Brig fronted the media about it.

*It be noted that the fictional ICIS bears no relation to the real-life terrorist organisation the similarly spelt but identically pronounced acronym ISIS.
