I hate middle eastern interior design (love middle eastern people)

Middle eastern design has got to be my least favourite thing on earth. I walk into the pizza place.. I already know it’s owned by an Arab. Hospital lights, brightest lights known to man, no blue light filter, everything. And they got the whitest tile that reflects 99.99999% of light directly into my retina. Then they wanna come around and ask if I want a coffee at 3am. Brother theres 18,000 lumens coming out of your fucking ceiling do I look like I need a coffee

I also just moved into a new place and I’m pretty sure the owner is middle eastern considering the fact my blinds don’t work for shit. They’re basically cosmetic. Even in the NIGHT with the blinds closed there’s light in my room!! I can see everything in the middle of the night let alone the butt crack of dawn. And allah forbid I wanna turn on the lights at night. It’s 100 or 0. No dimmer, no mood lighting. Only 1 lamp and it’s as bright as the bullshitass pot lights.

And don’t even get me started on the layout and room situation. They got a whole room sometimes with just a couch lining the edge of the whole room. With the bright ass lights. I swear it’s the most uncomfortable least cozy or appealing thing. I saw a middle eastern interior design on time where the garage led straight into the living room, which you would also have to pass through to go from the kitchen to the dining table. I love my Arab homies but please stop with this shit😭
