M8 competition warranty suggestion

Hello. I currently have 840xi convertible and I like the platform. Thinking about trading it in for a 2023 m8 competition convertible. It’s at an independent dealer. Has 13k miles on it. One owner clear carfax. If I like it after a test drive will take to a bmw shop for a PPI.
Not my daily driver. Gets driven April thru November and put roughly 5-6 k miles at the most. In the winter will be stored in a heated garage. Planning to keep 6-8 years.
In this situation is a warranty worth it ? Thank you
