Guidance needed : DT vs IDT
Hey everyone, I’m a lawyer currently practicing in direct tax matters. I wanted to understand the practical difference between direct and indirect tax litigation in terms of:
- Nature of work and litigation exposure
- Professional growth and long-term career prospects
- Monetary opportunities and market demand
- Which field is comparatively easier for a non-CA lawyer to understand and excel in
Since my background is in law and not accountancy, I’d also appreciate insights on whether direct tax or indirect tax is more suitable from a learning and practice perspective for someone like me.
Would love to hear opinions from professionals practicing in these areas.
