Withdrawing $50K to buy a car. What should I know?

In a few months I'll be purchasing a vehicle with funds that are currently in my savings. I plan on transferring the funds to checking and then just wiring a check. I know that any withdrawal over $10 will trigger mandatory reporting to the government. What else should I know to make this a smooth transaction?
