Mother’s Day didn’t go as planned

So this is my very first Mother’s Day. I woke up and my husband wanted to sleep in today so I got the kid (almost one yo) and we did our usual routine (play, breakfast etc.). No wishes, no card, no flowers, no gift, no breakfast, just nothing. When I confronted him, he wasn’t even aware that he had to do things, because I’m not him mother. Last year was his first Father’s Day and I got him breakfast, card, gift and I wasn’t even a month postpartum. Should I return his behaviour this year on Father’s Day and do nothing? Or is it really selfish?
