Carrying while fishing
Will be spending a lot of time exploring northern Idaho and Montana alone this summer. Will be carrying bear spray on my hip and sometimes a Glock 20.
For anyone that's carrying out while fishing? How are you doing so?
My Glock 20 fits nicely in the front pocket of my waders, so thats a concealed and fairly accesible option.
I've also seen the gunfighters inc tackle-link which is a system that attaches to popular chest packs. I have a fishpond sling pack, so it would require me to buy an additional pack (which I'm open to, I've been finding the sling pack to be a little cumbersome and disorganized lately. It's nice that it's waterproof but it's also kind of tiring to get in and out of.
I could also just do a hip holster on a wading belt (but I will be wet wading a lot probably- so I'll have to figure out some pants for that, I never wear a belt while wet wading, I'm usually in boardshorts.
One last option is the gunfighter Kenai chest rig, and just wear my sling pack over it, but I'm worried about the gun and sling pack strap interacting. The benefit to this rig is that it can be used hiking with wife and dog etc, not just fishing.
Before I go wasting a bunch of money- how have you guys successfully and comfortably carried while fishing? I dont want it to be a burden, or I won't carry.
