Hardwire dashcam wire routing in a Mk2.

I have a nexbase dash cam I want to fit to my mk2. It’ll pick up power from the cabin fuse box, I think fuse 18.

Does anyone have any experience routing the wires cleanly up to the rear view mirror? Do the A pillar interior plastics come off easily?

Any advice welcomed.
