Chronic conditions and Company rules

Someone who worked here for a good amount of time eventually developed a chronic condition that made it difficult to work. But the directors were no different; they were so lazy that they kept pushing me to work. I informed HR, and nothing really changed. My directors were nitpicking how i was doing tasks and my time at the office, almost felt like they were just enjoying. This is Omnicom; has someone experienced something like this?
