In search of a platform that will let me create characters as progress monitoring for a large group

Working with a group of 85 people on a long-term DnD-themed project, but not actually playing the game. Is there an online platform that will let them create a character, and have me award through experience points or gold? I want to say "you accomplished this goal for our group, so your character leveled up." I have heard of ClassCraft, but it seems to be down.
