Why did Advaitins/Dasanamis/Smartas focus on destroying Shaivism alone, refraining from attacking Vaishnavism or Shaktism?

Why did Adi Shankara and his Dasanamis/Advaitins/Smartas focus on absorbing and destroying only Shaiva traditions, while leaving Vaishnava and Shakta traditions to thrive?
