What tools are people using for app demo videos? Nothing I tried worked, ended up building my own and wondering if I should make a tool out of it.

Shipped my last app (Lumraa) a few weeks back and got stuck on the launch video. Way harder than I expected for something that should be a 30-second clip.

Tried the obvious tools. They all do basically the same thing — fade between your screenshots, drop in a voiceover, call it a video. Functional but flat. Some of the premium ones charge $30–50/month.

What I actually wanted was the kind of video Linear or Vercel ships — screenshots tilted in 3D, kinetic text, real motion. Couldn't find that anywhere, so I built it for myself. Whole thing takes about 1–2 minutes from upload to download.

Right now it follows a handful of visual recipes, but I think it can get a lot smarter at choosing shots based on what's actually in the screenshots.
