Endo surgery with bowels specialist questions
Hi! I went to see an endo specialist and we were able to see tissue that they believe to be endo basically fusing my uterus to my bowels. Endo specialist said I need to have a consult with a bowels surgeon prior to excision surgery since they both need to be there. Because I was a mess at the consult (took 13 years to have someone believe that this wasn’t in my head) I didn’t ask any questions.
- If anyone had vaginal bleeding with penetration, did it get better after surgery? I’ve still been bleeding from when they did the ultrasound at end of last month.
- Was anyone else able to see almost one side of the uterus attached to bowels, and how did surgery go? I am still waiting on consult with bowels surgeon so don’t know much about that side of things
- Did anyone’s symptoms include severe back pain with pain radiating down legs and if so, was surgery helpful?
- What things have helped you manage this disease? Learning about using a tens machine has been really helpful!
I’m only 25 and this has brought up a lot of questions of if I want kids etc that I had been kicking down the road. Any advice is appreciated!
