12V outlet prong difference

I have a 2008 NC. I’m trying to change out the cigarette lighter 12V to one that has a USB charger and CarPlay connection to my new head unit. This is the one I purchased:

When I removed the outlet, the female receptacle has prong openings at right angles to each other. The new dash port has prongs parallel to each other (Type A). https://i.imgur.com/Gpl5YkG.jpeg

Is there a way to rewire the female receptacle to accept the type A prongs? In the pic there is an opening for it, but no metal connector.
