I realised how little I knew about women once I transition to male.
I had top and hysto a month back and Ive been slowly realising how extremely little I know about women.
For example, Ive never know the difference between bleeding and spotting. Ive no idea what different pads and tampons mean. I dont know how to measure bra sizes. I dont know how to use makeup or what the different brushes mean. I didnt know that women are actually pretty open about periods and bras and all that stuff to each other.
Dont get me wrong, Im not saying its a bad thing as in 'I wish I was able to do all those things'. Its judt something that Ive realised now that Im not chronically dissociating from anything related to women due to my dysphoria.
Ive also realised how trans men in mainstream places react to it because I responded to someone saying I havent a clue about anything to do with women. And they said looked down upon me as if I was scum and compared me to non-trans men (in a derogatory way. I dont mind the comparison obviously, but its the fact that it was in the derogatory manner of 'all non-trans men are bad and evil and they all hate women and actually trans men are literally women so they cant be bad ever').
It makes me feel incredibly detached from trans people as a whole because I quite literally dont have the 'trans experience' other than Im having surgeries and need to be on testosterone and I need to get a GRC (i.e. I have the medical aspect of it, but not any other aspects of it baseically). Its just confusing I suppose.
