Why the hate brigade for anything high end or different than your preferred intake?

Question

It would seem often on this sub the “don’t be a jerk” rule doesn’t apply to anyone who has anything over $500 dollars that they share. The amount of hate that makes people have to delete their posts because they get ganged up on by a bunch of folks who parrot what influencers tell them, instead of actually experiencing the sound for themselves.

Why always crap on someone else’s choice of enjoyment? Why this incessant need to think that telling someone who has spent a large chunk of change on something they enjoy enough to share with the general public here. That you in fact don’t believe it sounds good despite never experiencing it! Lie what part of people sees someone expressing joy, and says “nuh uh, not on my watch! I need to share my unvetted and ignorant opinion to let this person I do not know on this enthusiast forum that they are doing it wrong!”

No sense of social skill or decorum at all. What if everyone who had nice gear commented on the wild amount of seeking info on 50-200 dollars Daps talking about how bad they were? It would be insufferable, right?

So why is it ok when it is high end? Why not just let people share their joy without adding your hot take? We are all here because we love audio in some way or another. I would implore that we all try to do better.
