Can I change my course before I start my degree?

I initially received an offer letter for Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering back in February, but I changed my mind and requested to switch my course to Psychology because I had some research experience in that field. I was granted my student visa a few days ago, but I’m no longer confident that I want to pursue Psychology and would like to switch back to Mechanical Engineering. Is that possible now?
