When you visit western countries, what is it like for you?

LIFESTYLE

After visiting Japan, I was astounded with how many things felt like it was made for my height and body. Everything just felt right from a user experience.

When I shop in America, whether its getting glasses that sit right on my nose bridge, reaching for buttons or handles, shelves, etc, it's all hard because it's made for taller Americans... well more specifically, average Americans. I've never known the joy of knowing my size and being able to just buy things off the rack and not have to try it on, only to be disappointed...until I shopped at GU in Japan. Jeans are either too long or too skinny in the waist for me or shirts are too long on me in America but at GU everything felt right.

It felt amazing to be able to shop and experience things at my height and not feel awkward.

I'm curious to know from native Japanese what it's like when they travel abroad and if they experience the opposite in other countries.
