The Netherlands 🍊: Job search landscape and etiquette?

Hello colleagues! Could anyone share their experience looking for INGO or UN employment or working in The Netherlands?

Are there any platforms or job search etiquette I should know but may be hard to find from abroad/in English? For example: Are there specific local or national INGO or UN job search or networking platforms? Is it customary to contact your local professional contacts to let them know you're looking for employment? And to ask for referrals?

Some additional info: I'm a EU citizen so can work there but don't speak Dutch. I'm a highly qualified mid-career protection expert, but given the current aid crisis, I have very little hope of finding employment soon. So, please, feel free to comment or send me a message whenever you see this post, even if many months have passed since its publication date 🍊.
