I love the Current flag but thought it might be fun to show my submission package from back in the day during public submissions...

\- \*\*Red White & Blue\*\*: show our pride as "Americas Heartland".

\- \*\*Gold\*\*: Shows our Pride in being the Capital City, to the Great State of Nebraska.

\- \*\*Stripes\*\*: Represent the Rails and Trails that run throughout Lincoln

\- \*\*The Large & Small Stars\*\*: Represent our Small Town Atmosphere in a Big City Setting. The Star design is created from combining a Variety of Colors & Shapes, representing our city as being a collection of diverse & unique citizens.

\- \*\*A Circular Arc represents the Path of the Sun\*\*: From a Morning Sunrise, to Evening Sunsets, and into dark Starry Nights; our city offers its citizens opportunities to both Work and Play. Quality Employment and Ample Park Spaces can be found all throughout our city. The Arc is located above the Star to show how our city is always striving to reach new heights, through technological growth and quality higher education.

\- This Flag has both \*\*Balance & Symmetry\*\*, which shows Lincolns commitment to supplying its citizens with opportunities for Healthy Work/Life Balance.
