Trying to get husband to help with a project..

I have been asking my husband for weeks to help son and I build an outside pen for animals.

Husband really doesn’t want the animals so has made it near impossible to accomplish. First I had to pay to have the lumber delivered, which I did.

Then he has fought on the location. He wants it in a tiny corner of the yard, and we ultimately need a 30x30 space so a 8x15 odd shape area under trees won’t really work. The animals need significant sun and just a little shade throughout the day.

I don’t have tons of money to hire people. I keep asking when we can do the pen, he never gives an answer. When he asks what I want to do, I ask is we can build the pen, and he just says no.

But it’s the time of year that we need to get these animals out of the basement and in the yard during the day.

Last year son and I built a junky temporary pen and husband complained about the way it looked all summer. So this year I bought nice lumber so we could make something that wouldn’t be an eyesore.

He has suggested even building it at my parents but that’s a lot of work for me to load them up every morning, drive them over there and then pick them up every night. It’s not reasonable.

tl;dr What can I say or do to get my husband on board to help build an animal pen?
