I don't know why I play altruistically anymore

I've been left to die on hook in endgame three times today out of four games. First time on Nostromo (Side note, DONT RUN THROUGH THE FREEZE TRAPS FOR NO REASON), I was running over a boil over build. I finished two gens while the Dredge tunneled a player out. I took one hook early trying to take a chase and going down in a bad spot. Late game, Im pressuring the back of main gen with the exponential boon up nearby. I wiggle off twice while dredge is trying to find a hook. Last two gens pop before he downs me for the third time and finally gets me to a hook. Nancy gets chased off of one door, the Mikaela with no hooks opens the other one and waits there as I am almost dead. Dredge leaves Nancy to come to hook just before I die, so at least Nancy got out, but why should I have wasted my time distracting the killer to die? BS.

Switch to a basic sprint burst build. Toba, Clown, hard tunneling a Steve. 2 gens pop before first hook, 3rd happens shortly after. Get the Steve unhooked, try to body block but clown is hard tunneling and bottles make it hard to not just be in the way. Take a hit go to gen. Steve had DS. Two gens almost done, Steve ends up near my almost done gen, Clown speed bottles to down me while Steve is in a corner. Downs steve, I get hooked, Steve gets pallet saved. Clown chases pallet saver, gens pop. NOED. I heal with Steve to setup for the unhook, third is on a door. I distract the clown enough for unhook. Clown gets Steve after a bit, I get the unhook when he leaves to check a door. I find hex, start to cleanse instead of going to an exit. Speed clown out of nowhere forces me off the hex and gets me before I get out. Everyone else gets forced out cause they decide to stand by the door while I get brought to the hook. Punished for teamplay.

Tricksters delusion. Ghoul. Again, one player tunneled out, but 5 gens popped. Im on an exit gate, survivor in chase goes down by opposite gate without starting it. I open and go to unhook. Third survivor gets unhook, I manage to come in a take a hit blocking ghoul at a door after they already hit the unhooked survivor out of endurance. Ghoul cuts me off, hooks me and the other two, one of them again no hooks, leave. Damn, shouldn't have taken a hit I guess.

Wonder why I should keep playing for survivors that clearly are ready to leave me to die.
