Hot take: The walking dead season 7 is the best season of the show

I know this is extremely controversial but this season was so incredibly good.Trust me you need to rewatch it binged instead of week to week, it’s so much better, with the exception of episode 6, this was one of the best seasons of tv, easily top 6.But now what do I love so much about this season?

This season had the best world building of the show, the introduction of the kingdom, the scavengers,etc was just great.These dynamics and the character development was insane.Rick being the dog-like Rick was just so peak, 2nd best version of Rick btw(best is season 8), Daryl getting tortured, Carl and negans dynamic, Ezekiel, Morgan and Carol‘s dynamic, Glenn and Abraham’s death, Rick and Michonne‘s dynamic was on its peak, the whole conflicts with the saviors and the composition with the other groups, Maggie’s development and character arc, the acting.ITS SO FREAKING GOOD.Eugene was very well and complex written.Dwight was so cool(even though he’s way better in season 8).Overall I just loved the depressing style.

I heard many hate it because of the pacing, but trust me the pacing was good, it was just slower than the previous seasons which made it unusual.I know it didn’t feel like the first seasons with the whole nice vibe and stuff, I understand that, but that doesn’t make this season bad.This season was unique, it just changed everything but it was in a good way for me.

I also loved season 8 and I think wrath should’ve been the final episode, then also carls death wouldn’t have mattered to me.Overall season 7 and overall the savior arc was just great.Season 8 is a top 5 season too.Let me know your opinion!
