I know most people ask this but pls answer me

When I watched the first episode of the anime i thought it would be similar to the Frieren like op female character going through development also with lots of fights but honestly after first episode it was kind of disappointing with the direction it took like it was so obvious its going the cliche academy reverse harem route. I wouldn't have mind i were to start the anime with that intention but honestly I kinda now feel betrayed like the whole cover and few clips were screaming of action but it became boring for me real quickly(mainly due to disappointment).

Now for the question I read some posts on Reddit and the answers were really different for each person but I would like to know which route does it take like action with platonic friendship or reverse harem slop. I wouldn't really mind spoilers but if possible pls gimme an example of similar anime in terms of level or type of romance. Also if there is romance how much has progressed. Again i don't mind spoilers
