Trying to make indie games that don’t feel like clones
Game Title: Field Commander

Description:
Hi everyone. I’m a solo indie developer currently experimenting with small gameplay-focused games and trying to create mechanics that feel different from typical clones.
Field Commander is a minimalist strategy/action game where instead of directly controlling heroes, you control the battlefield itself. You can boost units, speed up zones, strengthen defenses, and manage the flow of combat in real time. The main idea was to make the player feel more like a tactical force influencing the entire map rather than a single character.
The game focuses on fast decision-making, satisfying progression, and chaotic moments where one smart move can completely change the battle. I’m still improving balance, visuals, and overall polish, so I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback about gameplay feel, replayability, difficulty, and whether the mechanics feel fun and unique.
Even small feedback or criticism would help me improve future updates and projects a lot.

I’m the solo developer of the project. I designed the gameplay systems, programmed the mechanics, worked on balancing, UI, and overall game direction myself while learning and experimenting during development.
