Beginner train advice and opinions on train setups for multiple factories around the map

Hey everyone, hope ur all doing good, just wondering if anyone has some opinions on a simple beginner train setup as I just unlocked them and I heard they would be useful for my specific situation where I need to transport resources from factory to factory across large distances.

I was hoping for some recommendations on any simple but efficient beginner train setups and any additional suggestions or tips to do with trains or signalling would also be great, thanks guys!
