Pellet smoker

Anyone else detest a pellet smoker? I’ve always had offsets and always done super well on offsets .Mostly cheap ones and I made one from a 55 gallon drum once . It finally burnt out and several years ago I got a pitboss ( I know they aren’t event close to top of the line) but it was what I could afford and at the time I thought a pellet smoker would be the best thing since sliced bread . I hate the thing . It’s inconsistent, bottom is too hot to smoke anything without burning the bottom of whatever you’re trying to smoke . I would never even try to do a brisket because I have no faith that this pitboss wouldn’t ruin it . I have no interest in the whole Webber kettle thing or any egg style smoker. I just want to get myself back into an offset . That is all . I’m not looking for advice or anyone to try and sell me on anything. I’ve had a few whiskeys wanted a small rant I guess .
