Fatima’s father

When Fatima is explaining to Boyd what she’s doing with the clay, she quotes her father:

“Fatima, they have it wrong. They all think their *road* is the only way. Don’t they understand that *all roads* lead to the divine? They simply take different paths to get there.”

They were all on different *roads* when they came across the fallen tree and they all ended up in the same supernatural place. Could this be a clue? I know the creators already said it’s not they’re not dead or in purgatory but maybe some of the creatures here are gods or demigods? Idk it just seems like an odd coincidence.
