Is it worth dating in highschool?
I’m a sophomore and I just got out of a break up. Me and the girl dated for 9 months but broke up because of religion and different beliefs and she didn’t see a future with me because she wanted someone that could share her religion and beliefs with her. It’s been really hard to just let go and I loved her a lot. Everything between us was amazing while we were dating and it was really healthy. We never got bored of eachother, talked everything out and we were always there for eachother and we were always texting back and forth every single day. I’ve just been thinking and I’m not sure if dating in highschool is worth it or if it’s better to wait until college and after highschool. I thought she would be the one that I would marry since I personally don’t get the point in dating if its just short term and not to marry since at the end of the day, you want someone that you can spend the rest of your life with. What do you guys think? I feel like it’s pretty natural to want a relationship in highschool but after this break up I don’t know if dating in highschool is worth it since a good amount of relationship not just mine dont last after highschool. What do you guys think? Should I just focus on myself, grades, friendships and all that until I graduate and then be more open to dating after highschool? I just need some honest opinions from other people since it’s been rough since and I’m just really lost right now.
