After 14 years, the journey is finally over (PD Sep 2013, Eb2 India)

Long time lurker, first time poster. Thought I'd share here as this community has been really helpful. Got the unexpected news on a weekend. My online status was finally changed to 'New Card Is Being Produced'.

Most of my major life milestones have happened while waiting in this line. While my day-to-day won't change much, the weight of travel anxiety and visa stamping is finally gone. I can finally sleep peacefully. Good luck to everyone still in the process—I’m officially logging off!

My journey began in 2012 when I started the GC process. Due to delays is PERM , I finally got a priority date of Sep 2013. Missed the AOS boat during covid - by the time my medical RFE was reviewed by field office , the dates retrogressed and no visa number was available.

PD was finally current in March 2026 bulletin. there was no movement in my case until mid April - did not have much hopes as Emma live agents were completely useless.

My final effort was a congressional enquiry, which I did in April 15th. and on April 20th got an RFE (as my medical was expired). Might have been complete coincidence, but I think this might have helped. I had my Medical already done and ready to go the day my PD was current.

March 3, 2023 We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you.

October 15, 2022 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.

September 1, 2022 We transferred your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to another USCIS office that now has jurisdiction over your case.

August 31, 2022 Your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, was transferred to another office for processing.

October 15, 2022 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.
