[MO] Can I get a public defender in Missouri for misdemeanor harassment if I got deported?

Location: Missouri

I got charged with harassment (misdemeanor) in Missouri, but I'm not in the US. Can I still get a public defender? I don't have a job so I meet the income requirements. Also it is a state charge. They let me do a virtual hearing for my divorce case in this county. Please lawyers let me know. Btw I am in Europe now.
