Western writers community

I was having a debate online with a bunch of western people who were hating on me so much because I believed it isn't important to put a disabled character in your story if your story is already complete.

They started being really disrespectful and saying that I give myself too much credit for even saying I'm a beginner writer, one of them said that I don't believe disabled people exist if i do this, which is absolutely stupid, not writing characters with specific traits or backgrounds doesn't mean that type of people don't exist. There are dozens of stories out there without a single Asian character, does that mean the writer thinks Asians don't exist? No , it's just that the writer didn't think about adding an Asian character, that it just happened that an Asian person wasn't in the story, same thing with disabled people, if a writer didn't think about adding a disabled character that doesn't mean they don't exist , it just happened that there was no disabled person around the story.

So back to my OG question, even if my point is wrong or they don't agree with me , why is the western writers community so toxic to beginners like this? They ruined my day with what they said.
