Masterplan Episode one is a Masterpiece

i've been watching doctor who in order (which i do whenever there is an intolerable delay) and have finally come, appropriately enough, to the dalek masteplan episode one which has recently been found. man this episode is a refreshingly interesting episode, probably the best one up until this point.

the writing, the acting, the brig(!), the secondary characters, the camera work, the stakes even the overused (by this point) daleks all work really well.
