Advice about behaviour with phone..

So have been dating a guy quite intensely (spent basically a whole day and night together on date 2). Really opened up about personal stuff but I can't help thinking he's very paranoid about his phone. On our first date, his phone rang and he couldn't turn it over quicker if he tried. I've been to his place, he's been to mine. He takes it every time he moves anywhere. Am I over thinking this? I know we aren't exclusive, and I wouldn't want to be right now but I can't help thinking maybe he has a girlfriend? Thoughts?
