Gameplay style info.

Hey so I usually hop in and run quickly through the first few parts then slow right after ice area, but I stopped and slowed down and its a bit more fun exploring and collecting gold nuggets from the veins(I just learned I could do this) im wondering if slowing and knocking out the entire first area is good for a run? Or it just depends on modifiers.
