Why Am I Was Disconnected?

the match was coming to the end, Survivors opened the gates and I didn't try to catch them because they were clearly more agile than me, so I just waited AFK. but the match suddenly ended with connection error message and moved to scoreboard. I didn't even got a single point for this match, as if I quit it myself. why could this happen? is it because I AFK for a minute or two lol?
(my Internet connection seemed to be stable)
