No money for birthdays but money for vacation?

Just came on here to vent — my sister’s birthday was last Saturday, and my mom had said she was going to take her out for lunch on Sunday. Sunday comes and now my mom cancels, saying she doesn’t have the money.

First thing that made me mad was that SHE was the one had suggested it, but then strike two was that she just never bothered to see my sister at ALL. She could have easily just visited with her at home, but no. Nevermind the fact that she’s borrowed THOUSANDS from my sister and never made any attempt to pay it back. I digress.

Today, she posts pics on FB that she’s on the road heading for a vacation. The absolute GALL.

She and I are no contact and have been for the last 18 months, but her behavior still hurts me because it hurts my sister.

And yet, according to my mom, I am the one that caused the problem/riff in our relationship (me and my mom).

They don’t ever change, do they?
