Any reading recommendations after treatment?

I’ve been trying to find books about cancer/survivorship that actually feel human and relatable, but I’m struggling a bit. I'm a two times cancer survivor, British and I have a low threshold for BS or anything inspirational.

I tried When Breath Becomes Air and it was too “Ivy League” for me.

I also tried It's Not About the Bike, but knowing everything we know now about Lance Armstrong - I wasnt really sure what to think.

Then I tried Between Two Kingdoms and again, maybe this sounds harsh, but it was completely unrelatable - "I left my ivy league uni, to go to NY, oh and then Paris". This is not a "normal" person's life!

What do people actually find helpful to read after cancer or during treatment?

I want to read about the embarressing bits, the fear, the vomit - I want to see that what i've been through is "normal". I don't want to go on a "Journey", I don't want to find meaning.

I think maybe I’m less looking for “a cancer story” and more looking for something that captures what it actually feels like to live after your life gets split into before/after.

Would really appreciate recommendations.
