Me [M20] my girlfriend [F20]and my mother have had a bit of a falling out what do i do?

im stuck in the middle and its hard for me.
Me and my girlfriend have recently moved out of home (3 months ago) and when we moved my mum was super proud of me, her first kid to walk on his own two feet, she does what any mother should and got some gifts to help out the hard part of moving which is the very beginning when we are low on money, i am currently at home with a back injury waiting on surgery next month which leave me struggling to do things around the house and on a low income, my mother helped us by buying a washing machine, 1 full weeks worth of groceries and has dropped off 2 home made lasagnas, and inbetween that she has helped me by getting me a drink or a vape pod here and there, just small things to me, my girlfriend messaged my mum telling her she wants her to take a step back and to let us do our own thing, which she hasnt taken well and has now caused a massive wedge inbetween me, my partner and my immediate family, my mother feels she has taken a huge step back already and if she takes another one would be pretty much taking that step out of my life, she feels dosent do anything significant enough to be told to take another step back, i feel the same but in doing so im also trying to understand my partner and how she feels, my mother feels like my partner is trying to have me all to herself and not have my parents in my life, any advice would be appreciated as i dont know how to feel, or if my feelings are justify-able
