No sound when docked in steam

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had this issue before and could point me in the right direction.
When I dock my rog to my tv and play gamepass games from the fse screen I get sound absolutely fine coming through my tv but when I launch bioshock through steam the sound no longer comes from the tv and instead comes from the speakers on the ally.
