Script to turn any documentation site or wiki into an EPUB
Hi guys, i wanted to read technical documentation and wikis on my e-reader without having to copy pages one by one. Couldn't find anything that did this well, so I wrote one.
It's basically a wrapper around percollate that automates the URL discovery part. You give it a URL, it finds all the pages automatically, downloads the content and images, and generates an EPUB you can load on your reader.
./web-to-epub.sh https://wiki.archlinux.org --filter "Wayland" -o wayland.epub
./web-to-epub.sh https://huggingface.co --filter "learn/deep-rl-course" -o rl.epub
./web-to-epub.sh https://docs.python.org -o python-docs.epub
The --filter flag is useful if you only want a specific section of a large site.
Needs percollate (npm install -g percollate), curl, and wget.
